I do repaints of model horses, mainly Breyers and resins, from photographs of real horses. If possible I would prefer that you send a photo of a real horse that is close to the color that the model will be or a drawing of markings, but I have a large reference library at my disposal and can find photos if color is clearly described (i.e., "medium dappled gray with dark legs and face" or "dark mahogany bay Appaloosa with hip blanket, large spots"). I can accept .jpgs of medium size via Email or hard copy pictures sent via snail mail.

I now have three methods of painting:
1. Airbrushing using Liquitex acrylic paints, with a primer & gesso base coat and matte spray finish. (recommended for fastest return)
2. Hand-paint and detail using Liquitex acrylic paints, with a primer & gesso base coat and matte spray finish.
3. Hand-paint and detail using Windsor & Newton oil paints, with a primer & gesso base coat and matte spray finish.

To see more pictures of the differences please go to my Pictures or Colors pages. I have separated my Pictures page into Airbrush, Oil, and Acrylic sections.
Please see prices in tables below.

Sculpted manes and tails are priced on a what-you-want basis. Prices start at $2 each (mane or tail) for a SM and go up from there. Please enquire with exact description of what you would like.

At this time, I only offer repainting and molded m/t--no remaking or hairing.

Prices include all seams sanded, molding defects fixed, necessary carving (chin, hocks, etc), gesso base coat, and matte or glossy spray finish. There is an extra charge to have nostrils, ears, and hooves carved out (not available on SMs). They do not include model or shipping either way.

If I don't have the model you want repainted I can order it, and will include price of model and shipping in the final price after providing you with the reciept.

WMHS includes a money-back guarantee. If not satisifed with your model(s), please contact me via snail or Email within 5 days for a full refund (does not include postage for return of model) provided you ship the model back insured for the full amount of purchase. This guarantee is void if model has been shown in live or photo shows during the 5 day period.

I will not start work on a horse until your full payment has arrived, but I do accept time payments.

For models other than Breyers (Peter Stone, Hartland, resin, etc) please send closest Breyer size, and finish (prepped or not). Price will be as close to Breyer size as possible, but there is an extra charge for prepping chinas and resins if not paint-ready.

I ask that you please keep the "SLM" prefix in
the names of all horses customized by

NOTE: Difference in prices comes from cost of paints and level of difficulty in painting in that particular method.
